Summer Fun (June-August)

  • Onamia Days (June): Enjoy kids’ games, an antique car show, sidewalk sales, a carnival, a beer garden, food vendors, and street dances.
  • Minnesota Goose Garden (Sandstone): Explore this unique botanical garden honoring Ojibwe culture and featuring over 400 native plant species. (Open June-October)
  • Ogilvie Raceway (Ogilvie): Experience the thrill of racing! (June-October)
  • Isle Days (Isle): Celebrate with fun activities for the whole family. (July)
  • Mille Lacs Fun Run (Isle): Support the Isle Fire Department Relief Association with this annual event. (July)
  • Aitkin County Fair (Aitkin): Enjoy classic fair festivities, including agricultural exhibits, delicious food, and live entertainment. (July)
  • Garrison Play Days Festival (Garrison): Join the fun with a street dance, parade, car show, softball tournament, and much more! (July)
  • 4th of July Fireworks: Celebrate Independence Day with fireworks at multiple locations around Lake Mille Lacs (dates and times vary). Enjoy spectacular displays in Wahkon, Garrison, and Onamia. Boaters can get a great view from Wahkon Bay. Onamia also offers carnival fun and food vendors.

  • Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe Powwow (Garrison): Experience a traditional powwow showcasing Native American culture. (August)
